About Cash for Junk Cars NWI
Cash for Junk Cars NWI buys junk, wrecked and scrap cars in north Lake County, Indiana, and picks them up. You send the car details, we make an offer, the tow is free and you're paid at pickup.
What we do
We buy cars that have reached the end: the ones that won't start, the ones a crash or a fire finished off, the ones a repair estimate priced out of the family. We make an offer on the car as it is, send a truck, and pay you when it leaves. Cars, trucks, vans or SUVs, in whatever state they're in.
Where we work
In Indiana we cover four Lake County townships: North (Hammond, East Chicago, Whiting, Munster, Highland, Griffith), Calumet (Gary), Ross (Merrillville and south Hobart) and Hobart (Hobart, Lake Station, New Chicago). That's where our Indiana area stops. We don't pick up in Porter or LaPorte County or in south Lake County. The township map shows it.
How we work
- Free towing. The truck is on us; your offer is never trimmed to pay for it.
- Paid at pickup. You get your money on pickup day, as the car leaves, by app transfer (Zelle, Cash App or another digital payment) or in cash.
- Offers that keep. The number we give you doesn't expire.
- Working hours. 06:00 to 21:00 Central, Monday through Sunday.
- Same-day pickup is often possible. Not promised, but often.
- No title? We can still help. In Indiana a junk car changes hands on one of two papers. One is the title; if yours is lost, the BMV issues a duplicate for $15. The other is a BMV certificate of authority, which costs $4 and is applied for with proof the car belongs to you, your current registration for example. If the car is less than 15 model years old, Indiana law requires one of the two. Let us know which papers you do have, whether that's a bill of sale, a registration or an insurance card, and on the call we'll work out which route suits your car.
What you won't find on this site
Star ratings, testimonials, "years in business" or a count of cars bought. We'd rather show you the process and the paperwork. The Indiana guides here cite the Indiana Code and the Indiana BMV directly, so you can check every rule yourself.
